At Render Weekly, we bring designers together to explore, share, and refine product ideas. Our community thrives on creativity, collaboration, and intentionality. Here’s how we curate submissions and what sets us apart.
A Virtual Studio
Render Weekly is more than a showcase. It is a global design conversation. Our community works like a virtual studio where designers worldwide share ideas, take on challenges, and refine their craft.
There are no physical walls or hierarchy, just an open exchange of creativity. Professionals, students, and hobbyists contribute, learning from each other through design. Weekly prompts provide direction, but the real value comes from practice, iteration, and growth.
Our Selection Process
Every submission goes through a review process before appearing on our feed. To manage this, we use a submission portal, which ensures all entries are considered in an organized way.
Submissions don’t appear immediately on the site—every entry goes through an approval process before it is visible in the Archive or on the Feed. This allows us to filter out spam and ensure submissions are relevant to the community.
When reviewing submissions, we look for:
- Proportion & Scale – Well-balanced and intentional details
- Clear Communication – The form and function should be easily understood
- Simple Presentation – A clean setup that lets the design shine
- RW-Specific Focus – Work created for our prompts is prioritized
While we have a consistent framework, our decisions also rely on instincts about what feels contemporary and fits the Render Weekly ethos.
Leading by Example
We don’t just post prompts—we participate. Since the beginning, we’ve contributed our own work to the weekly challenges. By designing alongside the community, we foster a space where learning and collaboration come naturally.
Design Over Polish
Our focus is on strong, intentional design rather than excessive rendering polish. The best submissions balance proportion, scale, part lines, and clarity. A clean, minimal setup often highlights these elements better than heavy visual effects.
Looking Ahead
As the community grows, we remain committed to fostering an inclusive yet curated space. We want to continue welcoming new voices while maintaining a high standard of thoughtful design.
